PROPOSED ESTABLISHMENT OF FINAPHIL ECONOMIC DIPLOMATIC MISSION - BUSINESS COUNCIL TO FINANCE AFRICA
AND THE PHILIPPINE - ASEAN TRADE,
INDUSTRY, INVESTMENT & SOCIO-ECONOMIC, CULTURAL COOPERATIONS
Our International Chamber of Commerce headquartered in Turkey and operating in the African Region and in the Asia - Pacific Region is now pursuing the promotion of socio-economic, cultural, international trade, economic, financial and development which includes other beneficial co-operations under the proposed FINAPHIL joint organization. It’s an idea
we hear quite a bit in reference to African ASEAN - American and objectives to do so – we have to make sure to bring it up: “So many Africans have told us, we don’t want just aid, we want trade that fuels progress.”
And yet, while trade might be the gateway to development, the statistics in Africa aren’t too impressive, especially when it comes to one of the biggest opportunities for growth: trade among African countries. In the last few years Europe, for example, 69% of exports were to other countries on the continent. In Asia, that figure stood at 52% and in North America at 50%. Africa had the lowest level of intra-regional trade, at just 18%.
In view of the foregoing, it is about time for the promotion of FINAPHIL joint cooperation and finance development of infrastructure, trade, and socio-economic undertaking under the FINAPHIL umbrella for the promotion of FINAPHIL - ASIA-PACIFIC - AFRICAN COOPERATIONS
